About Micro-Hardness Measurement:

The Vickers microhardness test procedure involves applying a controlled load with a diamond pyramid indenter to a material, measuring the indentation, and then calculating the hardness value. The process typically includes preparation of the sample, applying the load, and measuring the indentation's diagonal lengths.

Scope of Services

  • Testing will be carried out using a Digital Vickers Microhardness Tester as per applicable standards such as:
    • IS 1501 (Part 1)
    • ASTM E384
    • ISO 6507
  • The laboratory shall provide hardness value (HV) along with test load and dwell time.
  • Microstructural interpretation is not included unless specifically requested.
